H.A.V.E.N. (Help Achieve Victorious Endings Now) is a transformative youth program founded by Rising from the Shadows, LLC visionary Latoya Alston, designed to positively shift the trajectory of children’s lives in today’s complex world. Through meaningful community engagement, practical life instruction, the application of biblical principles, and intentional future-focused development, H.A.V.E.N. equips young people with the tools they need to thrive—not just survive.
At the core of the program is The Survival Workbook for Tweens and Teens by Latoya Alston. This resource is used to train facilitators within churches, nonprofits, and community organizations, while also serving as the foundation for Rising from the Shadows–led programming delivered directly in the community.
We are eager to expand the impact of H.A.V.E.N. and bring this life-changing program to new communities. If you are a church, nonprofit organization, school, prevention education provider, or community group committed to inspiring, teaching, and equipping today’s youth, we invite you to partner with us.
For inquiries, partnerships, or program implementation, please contact our Program Coordinator, Shakura Woodland, at Shakura@RisingfromtheShadows.net. We offer local collaborations and virtual training sessions to support you in successfully implementing these workbooks and lessons wherever you are.

Shakura Woodland
Shakura Woodland is the Program Coordinator for Rising from the Shadows' H.A.V.E.N. program. Shakura has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and in the future she has hopes of using that degree to start a foundation for underrepresented/underserved children. Her passion in life is to help children find their path in life. It is because of Shakura's passion and heart that she is the perfect addition to our organization!
Woodland will be taking on a major role within the H.A.V.E.N. program for Rising from the Shadows and becoming not only an ambassador for prevention education, but a community outreach specialist who will serve with Rising from the Shadows to bridge gaps of inequity. She will help to create educational spaces and opportunities for young boys and girls in the community to empower them with the tools that they need to survive in today's society. She will be training under the Founder, Latoya Alston, closely to learn the brand and help to create brand messaging for the program.
In her free time, she likes to do arts and crafts! She is a creative mind that loves to learn (and teach) through the arts. We are so blessed to be able to have such a talented soul representing this organization in the community and are excited to help nurture the God-given talents that she possesses.
