Meshlyne Rejoice Academy is a thriving Christian school located in the Langas slums of Eldoret, Kenya, founded in 2016 with a God-given vision to provide education, hope, and spiritual grounding to vulnerable children. What began humbly with only a handful of students has grown remarkably—the school now serves more than 500 students, a powerful testimony to both the need in the community and God’s faithfulness.
The academy exists to break cycles of poverty by offering children access to education rooted in Christian values. Many of the students come from families facing extreme financial hardship, and Meshlyne Rejoice Academy stands as a place of safety, learning, and encouragement where children are reminded that their lives have purpose and promise.
We are honored to share that Rising from the Shadows has formally adopted Meshlyne Rejoice Academy as one of the schools it will help support. This partnership represents more than assistance—it reflects a shared mission to uplift children spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
As part of this commitment:
Monthly Inspirational Coloring Materials: Each month, Rising from the Shadows will send Christian coloring materials from its brand to the school. These resources are designed to inspire creativity, reinforce faith-based values, and introduce the children to messages of hope, joy, and identity in Christ.
Future Feeding Program: In the near future, we will be working toward the establishment of a feeding program for the school. Our desire is to help meet the physical needs of the children alongside their educational and spiritual development.
We believe this partnership will be fruitful and transformative. Together, Meshlyne Rejoice Academy and Rising from the Shadows seek to be a living expression of God’s love for the children of Africa—reminding each student that they are seen, valued, and created for more than their circumstances.
This is more than a collaboration; it is a testimony of faith in action and hope rising—truly rising from the shadows.
If you are interested in pouring into this school, you can send donations to $RisingfromtheShadows on Ca$happ. Please put Meshlyne Rejoice Academy in the subject line!

On January 13, 2026, something extraordinary happened at Meshlyne Rejoice Academy in Eldoret, Kenya. More than 300 students in grades three through five received their very first set of coloring pages from Rising from the Shadows.
What may have seemed like a simple package of coloring pages became a powerful reminder that they were seen, valued, and loved. On that day, these students discovered that a small faith-based organization located thousands of miles away believed in their potential and was intentionally investing in their growth, education, and future.
This was more than the delivery of educational materials—it marked the beginning of a meaningful partnership built on hope, encouragement, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, and thrive. It served as a beautiful reminder that God's love knows no borders and that even the smallest acts of kindness can create a lasting impact across the world.
